Pedalatium 2014 – Gran Fondo races around Rome
Pedalatium is a Gran Fondo circuit (the official sponsor is Cinelli, an Italian company of global significance in the two-wheel sector), which this year sees as protagonists, 4 competitions concentrated in the Lazio region.
Sunday, April 27th leads the way “The Garibaldi, and Maurizio Memorial Arnaldo Ciccolini” Gran Fondo in Mentone (Rome), now in its third edition.
The race sees a road of 134 km long, starting and finishing in Mentone, an average of 84 km and a third route, a pleasant walk of 45 km, ideal for those who ride without any desire to compete. If you sign up by December 31st, you will be entitled to access to the first grid.
Sunday, May 4th, will be the turn of the Gran Fondo City of Fiuggi Valerio Agnoli, an absolute novelty of the Pedalatium circuit. Also here two routes, one long and demanding, the other shorter and sweeter, both from Corso Nuovo Italia in Fiuggi. Two different routes, but linked by a desire to combine the taste of the challenge and the pleasure of discovering the beauty of Ciociaria.
From Fiuggi it will move on Sunday, June 8th to Fara in Sabina (RI) for the GF City of Fara in Sabina (ex GF of Cerase). Departure at 8:30 from Passo Corese for this competition on two wheels that sees a Medio Fondo (last year it was 84km) and a Gran Fondo (122 kilometers in 2013). The registration form can be downloaded from the website of the event. Registration will be open from January.
Pedalatium 2014 will end with the GF Rieti Appennines (also in the province of Rieti) Sunday, July 20th. Here also there are 2 routes, one long of 145 km and one short of 90 km. An event, that involves some of the most beautiful areas in the Sacred Valley of Rieti also crossing the Terminillo, which is the symbolic mountain of the Romans.
